Last updated: July 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Heave ("Heave," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Felix Fan, collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Heave mobile application and related services.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, internal user ID, and authentication information. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple provides the account information needed to authenticate you.

You may also provide a display name, profile photo, biography, account-privacy setting, and other profile details.

Goals and activity

We process the information you create while using Heave, including goals, effort entries, notes, focus activity, progress records, and related settings.

Some effort information is stored on your device first and may be synchronized to our cloud service so it is available across your devices. Account, social, and messaging features generally require cloud storage.

Progress photos and generated timelapses are primarily stored on your device or in your Photos library. Profile photos are uploaded to our cloud storage and displayed as part of your profile. Media you intentionally publish or share may also be available to its intended audience.

Social and communication information

We collect content and activity associated with Heave's social features, including posts, comments, reactions, follows, direct and group messages, conversation membership and message metadata, referrals and invitations, reports, blocks, and other safety actions.

Device, notification, and usage information

We may process technical information needed to operate and secure Heave, including your app version, push-notification token, device or advertising identifiers, IP address, network information, app interactions, and limited crash or performance information.

Apple MetricKit diagnostics may be retained locally on your device for troubleshooting. We do not currently upload those local MetricKit files automatically.
